Come immerse yourself in the preeminent choral culture of the Frost School of Music! Work with our world-renowned faculty, connect with other artists from across the nation, and enriching yourself through the vocal arts!

Meet the Program Director

Reid Masters

Acclaimed for his “infectious passion,” Dr. Reid Masters brings extensive experience as a conductor, educator, and countertenor. He has served as Minister of Music at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, Assistant Director of Choral Activities at Kennesaw State University, and Artistic Director of the New Jersey Chamber Singers—leading their internationally released Mozart’s Requiem recording on the Affetto label. He is also a co-founder of the professional chamber choir Kinnara Ensemble and has performed with ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, under conductors Lorin Maazel, Kurt Masur, Alan Gilbert, Nicholas McGegan, and Jaap van Zweden.

Internationally sought after as a clinician, Dr. Masters has led workshops and masterclasses for ensembles from Taiwan to the Bahamas, in addition to his extensive work with honor choirs and festival ensembles across the United States. A Rider Scholar, Dr. Masters graduated summa cum laude from Westminster Choir College and earned his D.M.A. from Rutgers University, where he taught conducting and directed the Rutgers University Choir.

  • Students must be in grades 9-12

    Please submit one video example of a song of your choosing with accompaniment (tracks are ok)

    Please describe your level music literacy skills (music reading ability)

    Please list any vocal or instrumental experience you have.

    10:15-11:20 Musical Enemble Rehearsal

    11:30-12:35 LUNCH

    12:45-1:50 Sectionals/Practice/Masterclasses, Private Voice Session

    2-3:20 Music Business

    3:30-5:00 Musical Enemble Rehearsal

  • 2026 Program Tuition: $1,250.00

    Tuition includes program instruction and performance, daily lunch, and a program shirt. Program tuition does not include: on campus housing and commuter parking. 

    Note: Camp tuition does not include the initial application fee of $50.00. 

  • On-campus summer housing will be available for non-local participants in the program.

    Housing Check-in day: Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
    Housing Check-out Day: Saturday, July 18, 2026, before 11:00 am. 

    Cost for Program Housing: $1000.00

    Housing cost includes: Double Room occupancy for 6 nights, dorm linen package (bed sheet, comforter, pillow, bath towel, and washcloth), all daily meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) in our dorm dining hall. 


    Students electing to add housing will need to indicate it on the application when asked. More information will be posted on the website once the University Housing Office finalizes all logistics for the new summer sessions. Any questions should be directed to: frostsummerprograms@miami.edu
