Join us for an exciting Music Production Summer Camp designed for aspiring music producers! This hands-on program offers a unique chance to explore music creation from scratch. Participants will attend workshops led by an industry professional covering topics like music beat-making, sequencing, editing, mixing, and mastering. They’ll gain practical experience with professional software and equipment. Campers will collaborate, enhancing their teamwork and creativity. The camp also includes live performance opportunities, allowing participants to showcase their work in a final concert. Attendees will benefit from Q&A sessions with music industry guest speakers, who will provide insights into careers and trends. Open to high school students, the camp will take place at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami from July 6th to 10th. Spaces are limited, so register to secure your spot. Meet the Program Directors

Camilo Salas
Colombian composer, producer, and music educator. Camilo Salas obtained his bachelor’s degree in Commercial Music Composition with Honors from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana of Bogota, Colombia (2019). He also earned his Master of Music degree in Media Scoring and Production while serving as a Teaching Assistant at the prestigious Frost School of Music, University of Miami (2023).
Throughout his career, Salas has been recognized as a versatile producer whose repertoire includes Pop, Latin pop, Rock, Classical, folklore, and Urban Music. He currently works as a composer and producer for some American and international artists such as Andrea González Caballero (Spanish Classical Guitarist), David Vandelay (American Singer), Issa Raye (Colombian Singer), Claire Delić (Dutch Singer), Lola Astanova (pianist), among others. In addition, Camilo has played leading roles as the music producer of massive entertainment events such as the India Catalina Awards, Miss Colombia Contest, Christmas Wonderland, and Barranquilla's Carnival, an event declared as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.
Salas has always contributed as both a producer and an educator. Since 2023, he has coordinated the Music Production area in the Frost Preparatory program where he recently created and developed a Music Production audio workshop for visually impaired musicians.

Susie Green
Susie Green is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Music Engineering Technology Department at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, where she directs the Contemporary Electronics Studio and leads the Laptop Ensemble. A Miami native, music technologist, composer, vocalist, and performer, Susie brings a rare blend of industry experience and creative innovation to everything she does.
Her work lives at the intersection of sound, technology, and human creativity, from performing and recording as a signed songwriter with Sony/FIPP, to crafting immersive audio-visual installations at venues and international media art festivals across the globe. She has also established an annual electrifying Miami Music Week Afterparty at Frost's state-of-the-art Immersive Hormel Music Innovation Stage.
During the Frost Summer Experience, she invites students to step into the world of live electronic performance through the Electronic Ensemble, creating, collaborating, and performing original music and experiences together using electronics and interactive controllers.

Electronic Music Ensemble
The Electronic Ensemble Experience is a collaborative live electronic performance group where students step into the world of music technology and create, perform, and produce original music together, in real time. Using laptops, interactive controllers, and digital instruments, participants explore the creative possibilities of electronic music-making through hands-on experimentation and collective improvisation. Over the course of the week, the ensemble builds toward a live performance at Guzmán Concert Hall, giving students a true taste of what it means to be a music technologist at the Frost School of Music.

1. Track Submission: Upload 2 to 5 audio tracks (or links) that highlight your music production skills. These can include original pieces or remixes.
2. Experience Description Write a brief description (200 words max) of your experience with music, technology, and music production. Mention any relevant skills, software you’re familiar with, and musical styles you enjoy.
Additional Notes:
- Ensure audio files are in a common format (e.g., MP3, WAV) and clearly labeled with your name and track titles.
- Submissions should reflect your best work and creativity. We can’t wait to hear what you’ve created!

2025 Program Tuition: $1,250.00
Tuition includes program instruction and performance, daily lunch, and a program shirt. Program tuition does not include: on campus housing and commuter parking.
Note: Camp tuition does not include the initial application fee of $50.00.
On-campus summer housing will be available for non-local participants in the program.

Cost for Program Housing: $1000.00
Housing cost includes: Double Room occupancy for 6 nights, dorm linen package (bed sheet, comforter, pillow, bath towel, and washcloth), all daily meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) in our dorm dining hall.
