Edward Ercilla

Program Manager, Frost Summer Experience

Edward J. Ercilla is the Program Manager of the Frost Summer Experience, a role he has held since the program's inception. He is also a second-year Ph.D. student in music education at the Frost School of Music. Prior to his doctoral studies, Mr. Ercilla spent twenty years as an instrumental music educator in the Miami-Dade County K-12 system. Throughout his career, he has taught a wide range of musical ensembles, including Band, Orchestra, Marching Band, Indoor Winds, Jazz Ensemble, as well as Music Theory and General Music.
Mr. Ercilla is particularly recognized for his expertise in working with students with hearing loss and has shared his knowledge at numerous prestigious state and national conferences, such as the National NAfME Conference, the Midwest Clinic, the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Conference, and the Florida Music Educators Association (FMEA) Conference. He holds both a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.E.) and a Master of Music Education (M.M.E.) from Florida State University.
